Clinical guidelines
Trauma guidelines are a vital tool to assist trauma clinicians in making appropriate clinical decisions when caring for an injured patient.
Guidelines are intended to provide a general guide to the management of specified injuries. They are not a definitive statement on correct procedures. Rather, they constitute a general guide to be followed subject to a clinician’s judgement in each case.
